Description

Join us for an experiential workshop to learn techniques to increase your confidence and embrace who you are featuring four amazing local women business owners who will share tools on how to foster a positive body image.

Light refreshments will be served and attendees will receive a swag bag plus a special invitation to shop at Dylan Star (also located at the Paseo Nuevo Mall).

Dr. Amy Saltzman: Author of A Still Quiet Place for Athletes, Mindfulness Skills for Achieving Peak Performance & Finding Flow in Sports & Life.

Dr. Amy’s session will be interactive, and experiential. Participants will learn how watching their thoughts, befriending their feelings, and praciting self-compassion can enhance performance and help them find flow in sports and in life.

Teri Coffee McDuffie is the Owner of Santa Barbara Women's Self Defense and Executive Director/Founder of Coastal Self Defense Academy (a Non-Profit 501(c)(3)).

The focus of my presentation will be on embracing our beautiful, powerful selves by recognizing how strong, brilliant and wonderfully unique we all are. I will talk about how we can walk, talk and use our body language to send a powerful message of self-confidence, empowered mindset and expanded awareness to all that goes on around ourselves to Be and Feel Safe!

Petra Beumer, M.A., Owner of Mindful Eating Institute

How to have a healthy and relaxed relationship with food and your body. Participants will be introduced to the concept of mindful self-compassion, self-nurturing and 'inner child' work as valuable resources and strategies for overcoming emotional eating and signing a “peace treaty” with your body. We will practice a short self-compassion meditation together.

Erica Brown, Owner of Dylan Star

At Dylan Star, we believe in the EXPERIENCE of shopping. That there is no substitute for personal connection. That, at the end of the day, if you start with what you like...we can show you something you love. And that every day you wear it, you will be reminded of the star that you are.

Where every woman—regardless of her shoe size, her social status, her student debt—can feel good about who she is.
