Marketing and Recruiting Options

  
 
Career Services offers a ‘buffet’ of completely individualized marketing options for your organization and your opportunities.
 
Targeted Handshake Email Blasts
  • An organization-specific (your organization only) email sent through Handshake to the target student group(s) that best fit your hiring needs.
Employer Spotlight Slide
  • Create a slide for your organization highlighting your recruiting activity. Slides will be posted to our Instagram and Handshake accounts 3-4 days before your event(s).
Social Media Takeover
  • Stream your company’s hiring content on UCSB’s active social media sites over a 2-hour timeframe. You will have ‘control’ to brand and promote your firm to UCSB students. 
Each marketing buffet activity costs $100, with increasing discounts applied for additional activities.

Information Sessions

  
 
Information sessions, both virtual and in-person, are a great way to connect with UCSB students. Virtual sessions are free of charge and can be created in Handshake using your organization's video conferencing link. Or, reach out to us to schedule an in-person event. Interested employers should fill out this Employer Interest Form to host an in-person information session at Career Services. Alternatively, employers can select and schedule a room in the centrally located University Center (UCen) on our UCSB campus.  
 

Employer Group Info Sessions

  
 
Sign up for an Employer Group Information Session and learn about ways to recruit at UCSB, including details on how we use Handshake, our quarterly Career Fairs, virtual and in-person information sessions, networking events and mixers, workshops and programming, our Alliance Program and sponsorship opportunities. These sessions take place weekly and can host up to 6 employers.

Alliance Program

  
 
Become an Alliance Program member at UCSB and work with us to make your recruiting plan come to life. UCSB’s Employer Engagement Team will work with you to identify the most effective ways to create your company’s presence on campus and connect with students. Your HR team will be invited to participate in all of our recruitment events both large and small, you will have the opportunity to connect with Career Services staff members, host an on-site career event for students, and present a tailored career presentation to students. We are ready to work with you every step of the way to ensure your recruiting message and opportunities reach our students!
 
The Alliance Program runs from August 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026.
