Rosal Ortega, a native of Sta. Barbara, comes from a long line of Spanish dancers and began ballet training at 6. At 12 travelled & studied in Spain. At 13 began dancing professionally in Sevilla, Spain. She has trained and performed in Spanish/Flamenco dance companies as a featured artist throughout the US and abroad. Rosal believes Flamenco makes the world a happier place. Rosal believes Flamenco can be a form of exercise, therapy, a career, a way to relieve stress, a way to connect with your culture and heritage, make friends, boost self-esteem or just a fun hobby.
